Our Sales Team
Barry L. Sales is the founder and sole stockowner of Blue Ridge Tobacco Co. He has been in independent business for 27 years. During these years, he has owned and operated 12 convenience stores. His self-proclaimed title of “pioneer of discount cigarettes and tobacco” is evident throughout the southeast. Previous to his independent business career, he spent 5 years with major oil companies as a representative in Houston TX, San Antonio TX, and Orlando FL.
Blue Ridge Tobacco Co is currently marketing to 6 southern states. His goal, with respect to this company, is a simple concept: “Market products that provide value to our customers”. Blue Ridge Tobacco challenges its customers to take charge of their own business with products that will meet their customers demand. In other words, sell what your customers want, rather than what the manufactures want you to sell. Too many times in his career, he has seen business people market products because they were contractually obligated. “Listen to your customers and meet their needs. This concept works – TRY IT!”
Barry enjoys the challenges for developing new business and relationships. His Staff at Blue Ridge Tobacco is led by Stacy Henson and Tonya Fugel whom have been described as his left and right hand. These ladies make a daily effort to be the best this industry has to offer. Without a doubt Blue Ridge Tobacco employs the best team in Georgia. Everyone involved is committed to exceptional customer service and the Blue Ridge team will prove to every customer that we are the best in the industry.
Barry’s personal life is one of business and leisure always mixing. He has been married to his wife Lisa for 25 years and has three children: Barrett, Dylan and Carly. He enjoys time with family and friends as much as everyone else and always takes time out of everyday to make this happen. Whether it be hunting or fishing with his father and sons, traveling to watch his daughter play collegiate basketball, spending time on the golf course, or spending time with the family at the lake. His life has always about the balance of independent business and having as much fun as possible.

Michael has had the privilege of working at Blue Ridge Tobacco for over 11 years. During that time he has been able to work every retail territory that we service today. Michael has met many wonderful people and made numerous friends. His favorite part of his job is getting to know his customers personally and helping them make their place of business a success. Being able to travel to different parts of the state is also a great opportunity to see the sites and get to know the areas. When he not at work he spends all his free time with his family. He has been married for almost 16 years and has 2 great kids. Both of his children play sports so if he is not at work it seems he is always at a ball field or a gym watching his son Easton, age 15, play baseball and basketball or his daughter Brayden, age 11, play softball or basketball. As his customers know from how much he brag on them he is very proud of them both. He hopes that by getting to know his over the years his customers realize that he is a hard working father and husband trying to do his job to the best of his abilities to further his career and reward them with excellent service and productive results. Michael looks forward to the opportunity to continue making new friends and customers and seeing them succeed in business.

I love working at Blue Ridge Tobacco. I have worked here for 9 years. One of the great things about Blue Ridge is that we are all hands on. We work together as a team. I have many job responsibilities. Answering the phone, take orders, do invoicing, issue credits, customer service issues, and order product. I like the fact that my job is so fun, and challenging. The best part about it is meeting and talking to so many great people outside of Blue Ridge I am mom to three beautiful children, two dogs, and three cats. We enjoy playing outside and packing in as much fun as we can. All of my children either play sports or are musically inclined. We stay busy but we are happy and loving. I am the luckiest person in the world to be their mom.
As the general operations manager of Blue Ridge Tobacco, I am responsible for the warehouse, office, and all reporting. I have been with Blue Ridge Tobacco since day one. I love the challenge of my job, and I love working with all the wonderful people I come into contact with on a daily basis. I have been married to my amazing husband Billy for 20 years. We enjoy restoring old cars, traveling to car shows and enjoy attending dirt track races of North Georgia. I have a beautiful 17 year fur baby girl named Heidi, and we have just adopted a fun and energetic fur baby boy named Buddy. I love all animals, and want to make the world a wonderful place for them too.
